This course gives you the practical information you require to perform some of the main tasks of a paralegal.
The course is online, and self-paced. It’s up to you when you start, and how long you take to complete. At the end of the course there is a multiple-choice assessment.

On completion of the course, you will be awarded with a Contract Law for Paralegals certificate from the Centre for Paralegal Studies.
You will learn about the three principal requirements that apply to all contracts, agreement, consideration and intention to create legal relations.
Discover whether all persons have a legal ability to enter a contract. Does a person’s age, mental ability or other factors impact the legality of a contract?
This course will explain what terms are included in a contract and what happens if a contract is incorrectly recorded. You will also discover whether you can interpret contracts by reference to oral evidence.
Learn when a Court will vary or undo a contract because of factors that occurred at the time the contract was entered.
When does a contract come to an end? Is it only after a certain period of time or can a contract end if its performance is interrupted by certain events?
If a party breaches a contract, the other party may be entitled to a remedy. Different types of remedies will apply depending on the nature of the breach. This course will consider damages, restitution and specific performance.
